Threads Photo Downloader

Save photos from public Threads posts in their original full resolution — not a compressed screenshot. Paste the link and download.

Processing passes through our server, but no files, links, or logs are ever stored — media streams straight from Threads to your device.

Why ThreadSave?

Full original resolution

Photos download at their real dimensions — frequently around 1080px wide or larger — not a re-compressed screenshot, so text and fine detail stay sharp.

Every image in the post

Multi-photo posts list each picture separately at full size, so you can grab just one or save them all.

Silent and anonymous

No sign-in, no notification to the poster, and nothing about the image you saved is kept on our side.

What is Threads — and why you need a downloader

Threads posts often carry high-resolution photos, but the app gives you no way to save them — long-pressing an image does nothing, and a screenshot only captures a compressed, cropped version. A Threads photo downloader pulls the original image file the way the creator uploaded it, so you keep the full quality instead of a lossy screen grab. And because we hand you that original file untouched, no watermark is added by us — the image is exactly what the creator uploaded.

Got a post with several images? Try the Threads carousel downloader, save a profile's recent photos in one go, or download just the profile picture.

What resolution are downloaded Threads photos?

We request the largest image candidate Threads stores — a full-resolution JPG, the same file the app shows when you pinch to zoom. A screenshot is capped at your screen's pixels and re-compressed; this is the untouched original, so text stays crisp and fine detail survives. Multi-photo posts list every image separately at full size.

If the post is actually a swipeable set, use the carousel downloader to grab them all in order — or save just the account's avatar with the DP tool.

Where do saved Threads photos go on each device?

On iPhone, tapping Download saves the JPG to Files → Downloads; from there Share → Save Image adds it to Photos. On Android it goes to the Downloads folder and shows in Gallery. On desktop, use the download button or right-click the preview and choose "Save image as…" to name the file and pick a folder.

Why won't a Threads photo download or save?

Because Threads image URLs are time-limited, a link copied a day ago may no longer resolve — re-copy the post link and reload if a photo fails to appear. On some phones the browser opens the JPG in a new tab instead of downloading; long-press the image and choose Save, or use our download button rather than the thumbnail.

Your saves stay yours

We never sign you in and never keep the images you download. The photo passes straight through and lands on your device, with no record of what you saved.

Frequently asked questions

How do I save a photo from Threads?+

Copy the post link (share icon → Copy link), paste it above, and press Download. The photo appears with a download button — tap it and the full-resolution image saves to your device.

Will the photo be full quality?+

Yes. As a Threads downloader, photo resolution is never reduced — the tool picks the highest-resolution version Threads serves, the same file the app shows when you zoom in, much sharper than a screenshot.

Does the poster know I downloaded their photo?+

No. Threads doesn't notify anyone about views or downloads, and we don't send anything to the account owner. The download is completely anonymous.

Do I need to log in or give a password?+

No. You never log in and we never ask for a password or any account access. You only paste a public link — that's the entire interaction.

Do I need to install any software or an app?+

No. This is a web tool that runs entirely in your browser. There's nothing to download or install, and it works the same on a phone, tablet, or computer.

Is it really free?+

Yes, completely free with no limit on how many downloads you can make. There's no account, no subscription, and no watermark added to your files.

Is it safe, and do you collect my data?+

Processing passes through our server so we can reach Threads, but we don't store your links, the media, or any logs, and we never ask you to sign in. Nothing about what you download is saved, tracked, or shared.

Can I download from a private Threads account?+

No. This only works with public posts and profiles — the same content anyone can see in a browser without logging in. Private accounts are protected by Threads and we don't bypass that.

Is there a watermark on the files?+

No. You get the original file exactly as Threads serves it — no logo and no quality loss from us.
